Student Roster Management & QuickAdd

Last Updated September 2026

1. Adding Students

There are three ways to add students to your academy:

  1. Manual: Go to Students → Add Student. Enter their name, email, and starting rating. They receive a Magic Link invitation by email.
  2. Invite Link: Share your academy's registration link. Students sign up themselves and are automatically added to your roster.
  3. QuickAdd via Pawn: Upload a CSV, paste a raw list of names and emails, or drop in a screenshot of your existing student list. Pawn extracts the data, creates accounts, and sends Magic Links in bulk.

2. Organizing Your Roster

Students can be tagged by group (Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced) or by rating range. These tags drive Pawn's targeted operations — when you say "assign fork puzzles to Intermediate students," Pawn uses these tags to identify the correct students.

3. Removing Students

Coaches can remove individual students from the roster. This removes their access to the academy portal but their game history and data are retained in the database for the academy's records.

If you ask Pawn to delete students, Pawn will show you exactly which students will be affected and require your explicit confirmation before proceeding. There is no undo for student deletion.
