ZextMeet: Built-in Video Classrooms

Last Updated September 2026

1. What ZextMeet Is

ZextMeet is the built-in video classroom system inside ZextaOS. Coaches and students join a session directly from within their academy portal — no external links, no Zoom subscriptions, no "sorry the Google Meet link expired."

Sessions run on LiveKit's Selective Forwarding Unit (SFU) infrastructure, which delivers crystal-clear video at under 100ms latency. For a chess lesson where you need to follow the coach's cursor on a live board, that latency difference is noticeable.

2. Privacy & Recording

ZextMeet uses direct peer-to-peer WebRTC for the actual video stream. ZextaOS does not record, intercept, or store any video or audio from sessions on our servers. The connection is established directly between participants.

This is also why ZextMeet is not suitable as a general-purpose recording system — there is no server-side recording. If you need to record lessons, you would use OBS or your OS screen recorder locally.

3. Starting a Session

From your coach dashboard, go to ZextMeet → New Session. Set the session name and invite students. Students receive a ZexChat notification and can join with one click from their portal dashboard.

You can also have Pawn schedule a recurring session: "Schedule a ZextMeet session every Tuesday at 4pm for Group A students."
